 Jeremy Kaufman, Chief Executive Officer

Jeremy Kaufman serves as Chief Executive Officer of Kaufman Jacobs and is responsible for the firm’s overall direction and leadership. He also heads the firm’s investment activities, including acquisitions, transaction structuring, and investor relations.

Mr. Kaufman has more than 20 years of experience in real estate, structured finance, and project development. Since becoming KJ’s CEO in 2002, he has successfully concluded the acquisition and finance of 4.3 million square feet, representing an aggregate value in excess of $850 million. Through judicious acquisitions, leasing, and aggressive management, he has created significant equity value for investors in Kaufman Jacobs’ real estate ventures.

Mr. Kaufman has also developed real estate and energy projects abroad, including the development and installation of a thermal power plant on the Guayas River in Ecuador.

Mr. Kaufman holds a B.A. from Brandeis University.

 Gerald Kaufman, Senior Managing Partner

As Senior Managing Director of Kaufman Jacobs, Gerald Kaufman’s responsibilities include GSA leasing and lease management, asset identification and acquisition, underwriting and deal structure.

Mr. Kaufman has been active in commercial real estate since 1957. He owned and managed millions of square feet of office, retail, residential and industrial space across the country, and has more than 30 years of experience owning and operating property leased to government agencies.

His early experience as a real estate attorney in New York prepared him for the responsibilities of directing a successful hotel company that managed five hotel properties. He also presided over several business ventures, including an entertainment company with more than 10 theaters nationwide, 30 restaurants and a health spa. He was also a Director of various banks and helped to organize the Civic Center Bank of Chicago.

Mr. Kaufman earned his Juris Doctorate from the New York University School of Law and a BA from Columbia University. While at Columbia, he was the 1956 NCAA Fencing Champion.

 Sam Fuchs, Chief Operating Officer

As Chief Operating Officer, Sam Fuchs is primarily responsible for the firm’s real estate portfolio, including asset management, construction management, leasing, dispositions, and tenant relations. He is also President of KJ OnSite LLC, the Kaufman Jacobs affiliate that provides property management for the bulk of the assets within Rubicon US REIT.

Mr. Fuchs serves as the project manager for the firm’s $100 million development project in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In this role, he is responsible for all aspects of development, including construction management, financing, and managing the project’s public-private partnership with the City of Milwaukee.

Since joining the firm in 2004, Mr. Fuchs has overseen the management of commercial real estate assets valued at more than $1 billion. He also has extensive experience in GSA leasing and lease negotiations.

Mr. Fuchs holds a BA from the University of Pennsylvania and the LEED Green Associate designation through the USGBC.
