Robert Saunders serves as the firm’s Chief Financial Officer, overseeing capital markets activities, financial reporting and investor relations, and treasury operations. He is also responsible for acquisitions and dispositions and transaction structuring.
Mr. Saunders has more than twelve years’ experience in real estate finance, investment management, and corporate finance. Prior to joining KJ, he was President of Rubicon US REIT Inc., a privately held real estate investment trust consisting of a $1 billion portfolio of real estate equity and debt. While at Rubicon, Mr. Saunders participated in the restructuring of Rubicon’s approximately 1.8 million square foot government-leased property portfolio and was responsible for Rubicon’s commercial real estate debt investments, managing a portfolio of $350 million in CRE mezzanine and whole loans.
Mr. Saunders is a CFA charterholder and holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management and Bachelor degrees in Finance and German from the University of Illinois.
