Founded in 1947, Kaufman Jacobs and its affiliates (KJ) have owned and managed tens of millions of square feet of commercial real estate across each of the four major asset classes. Today, the firm specializes in structured real estate finance and transactions of a complex nature.

One of the firm's core businesses is the ownership, leasing, management, and development of office space occupied by the Federal Government (administered by GSA). Through more than fifty years of combined experience servicing the real estate needs of government agencies, the principals of KJ have developed expertise in working with this highly specialized type of tenancy. Comprising more than $900 million in assets under management, KJ’s current portfolio contains five million square feet, of which approximately half is government-occupied.
